Can I save my customisation settings permanently?
Yes. Every customisation you make in Tailo is saved automatically to your account. Your preferred font, colour theme, reading width, and annotation colours will be there every time you log in, across all your devices. You do not need to set things up again each session.
Does customising the layout affect the original PDF?
No. Tailo’s customisation tools only change how content looks within the app. The original PDF or document is completely unaffected. If you download or share the original file, it will look exactly as it did when you uploaded it. Your customized reading view exists only within Tailo.
Can I use different settings for different subjects or projects?
Currently, Tailo applies your customisation settings globally across all your reading. If you prefer different settings for different types of content, you can adjust them as needed, and they will update instantly across your current session. We are always developing new features, so project-level customizations may be available in future updates.
Is the customise feature available on the Chrome extension too?
Yes. Your customisation settings carry across to the Tailo Chrome extension, so the reading environment you have set up in the app is the same one you get when using the extension.
Are these settings available on mobile?
Yes. Tailo’s customisable reading settings are available on mobile. Font size, colour themes, and layout adjustments all work on smaller screens, and your settings sync automatically so your reading experience is consistent whether you are on a laptop, tablet, or phone.
How do Tailo's customisation features help disabled students?
