What websites and journals does it work with?
The Tailo Chrome Extension works on most websites and academic journals, including Google Scholar, JSTOR, open-access journal sites, university library portals, and most pages that contain PDF links. If a page has an academic article or a PDF you can view in your browser, you can send it to Tailo.
What's the difference between the Chrome Extension and the Tailo app?
The Tailo Chrome Extension is your browser shortcut – it lets you find and send papers into Tailo without switching apps. The full Tailo reading environment (summaries, text-to-speech, explain this, podcasts, and your reading list) lives at tailoapp.com. The extension and the app work together.
Does Tailo support students with dyslexia?
Tailo was specifically designed with dyslexic students in mind. Features like the PDF summariser, plain language explanations, adjustable reading view, and text-to-speech all reduce the cognitive load of dense academic texts. Many students with dyslexia use Tailo through their DSA support package.
