We’re thrilled to share that Tailo has won the Accessible Product Award at the Scope Awards 2025!
This award celebrates products that centre accessibility in their design, improving the lives of disabled people and pushing the boundaries of inclusive technology. For our team at Estendio, it’s a powerful recognition of what Tailo stands for: making academic reading easier, more personalised, and more accessible for every student.
What is Tailo?
Tailo is an AI-powered reading platform designed specifically to support disabled and neurodivergent students. From summarising dense academic texts to simplifying complex language, every feature in Tailo is built with accessibility at its core. The platform is already helping students across the UK through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) — and this award is a testament to its impact.
Why This Award Matters
Being recognised by Scope – the UK’s leading disability equality charity – reinforces our belief that assistive technology should never be an afterthought. Accessible design is good design. Tailo wouldn’t exist without the students and professionals who have shared their experiences, challenges, and feedback with us. This award is for all of you.
A Team and Community Effort
We’re proud of our team for continuing to build with empathy, curiosity, and ambition. And we’re deeply grateful to the DSA assessors, university disability staff, and student communities (like This Student Needs) who champion Tailo every day.
We’ll continue building with accessibility, adaptability, and student voice at the heart of everything we do.
